No Riding in Pickup Beds (A.227)

Legislative Description: Prohibits a person from operating a truck while anyone under the age of eighteen is in the cargo area of such truck; provides certain exceptions for farm type tractors, trucks used for agricultural purposes and trucks used in parades. Amd SS1222 & 1233, V & T L.

Cowboy Notes: Bans all riding in pickup trucks, although some exclusions for off-road transport of farm workers. Farm bureau doesn't like it for obvious reasons, nor do upstate representatives, nor does the State Senate. 16
