Friday is bike to work day. This day is designed to encourage people to get out of their cars, and ride their bike to work.

The problem of the automobile is well known. Air pollution. Global warming. Suburban sprawl. Noise. Cities divided by highways. Obesity. And so on.

I encourage everybody who can to ride their bike to work on Friday. It's great fun, and something I've been doing for some time since moving to Delmar. Riding I get fresh air, see the landscape, and see the real damage our automobiles are causing to our landscape.

With more people riding on the roads, hopefully more drivers will respect us. That's why it's so important to ride this particular Friday.
