Why Do People Get High?: A look at the causes of illicit drug use.
There are some chemicals out there when ingested in humans creates destructive and dangerous behaviors. Not only to the effect the individual that is taking such such drugs, they can have serious effects on others. While common drugs like alcohol, cigerettes, and marijuna are destructive to far more individuals, hard drugs in their manfacture and use are inheritably more dangerous and have much more serious legal and moral consequences for their use.
Throughout the years there have been various stihls and refining plants that have exploded while making alcohol. Yet, they are regulated for safety unlike people making methaphemes and cocaine. These drugs not only require toxic chemicals that are often stolen from farms or imported from terrorist reigemes, they also can be released to the environmetn and require haz-mat crews to clean up.
Drugs mean less freedom to us all. We can't just leave the keys in the truck or avoid keeping a watchful eye over the farm at night in fear that some crazy drug dealer is going to break in and steal just to make more profit or fill their fix. Drug users and dealers are crazy and irratic and do disgusting things. They must be stopped.
Putting a whole population away for a long time doesn't stop drugs. We must rehabilitate these people, and make sure that we are breaking up the supply lines of drugs. As a society we must draw clear lines between minor and serious offenses, and make sure that innocent people are not getting dragged into the drug war.
