When Fairness Becomes Racist.

Affirmative action, multi-culturism and reparations to the extreme are not good policy—they can become plain racist and degrading to minorities. A society should help out all Americans equally, rich or poor, black or white.

Is an African American any less or more of an American then a white a person? Of course not. They do not need special privledges.

Rascism still exists in our society due to the way we look at it. We still see blacks as black, and whites as white. We don't see them are just Americans, working towards common goals in life. As long as we promote the belief that blacks are different from whites, we will have rascism.

One might argue that affermative action is neccessary to overcome historical events. However that isn't the case today, and it wasn't yesterday. People should employee the best possible candiate, not based on race. Do people descrimate? Yes, both subconciously and conciously.

Descrimation isn't always a bad thing. If you are uncomfortable working with a certain person, you shouldn't have to. Or if the person simply isn't up to spec, you shouldn't have to.

Diversity is one of our country's greatest strenghts. This is good. People should be able to choose their own life style—not one dicated by the goverment. To be diverse, you don't have to be culturely or of a different race—all you have to have is different beliefs.

You should be able to choose if you want to listen to Jefferson Airplane or Anit Misbehaving, or whatever you like, where you buy your clothes, where you work, how you live, and how you choose to use you resources.

Information is the best way to descrimate. If you have a diverse source of information, you will be prepared to decrimate.

Sensible people descrimate based on qualities, taste, and type. Those who fail to see the different between quality issues and unimportant aspects are racist.
