2004's People and Things of the Year

Below is a listing of some names that we should remember into the future, and how they made 2004 distinctively different then 2003. Their meaning will inevitably change through scandal and triumph in 2004, but they should be remembered as important people in our history. Over time our memories will fade on who these people are and what they have done for us as individuals and our world around us, and if you fail to remember a name try searching using the tool above.

Maybe Aerosmith got it right in 1976: Half my life's in books' written pages, live and learn from fools and from sages, you know it's true, all the things come back to you. Sing with me sing for the years, sing for the laughter and sing for the tears, sing with me if it's just for today. Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away.

2005 ain't gonna be anything like 2004, and many of these people and things will float into obscurity. We will look back at this list in future years, and try to remember how these people touched us all at one point in our lives. We won't remember all that much, but maybe this list will help us a little bit.
