Windy Night: A short poem about spring's winds.
Lightening is bright, as the thunder crackles around. The wind makes the rain come down as sheet. I guess it's nothing more then your typical summer storm.
But it's loud. Crack! Bang! The power flashes out for a second. But I'm okay. It loves me, I'm sure. Why else would the lighting leave such a bright flash in my eyes? It's not like it's trying to scare me or anything—after all I can't be scared. What is the big deal about a bunch of white flashes in the sky? If you could tell me, that would be great.
Just think how much energy could be captured in each lighting bolt. You could probably power a house for a long time with such lighting. not like as a society use such lighting for anything.
Those bright, but curvey flashes are nothing short of cool. Their unique jagged shape it quite nice. Such a pure white, nothing really compares it. So it looks like an area close to Agway was just hit. Somehow I don't think the Ag-way is to be hit lighting. So don't ride your tractor in a lighting storm—that's probably bad for your health, after all.
The worst part of any lighting storm, is having to unplug things. Until you start unpluging things, you don't realize how dependent we are as a society on technology and electricity. Only a bad storm helps you be brought back to your roots, and remember who actually is boss out there.
God might have created earth, or maybe we were created by earth, but it doesn't really matter, after all, it contains all the power that we live on. The rain and sun provide us our food, no matter how we want to look at it.
