I guess you could say it's as bright as it could possibly be, a nice fall day, Columbus day to be exact. I'm up at Partridge Run, the only place I' really want to be today. The weather is just so nice.
The colors are bright, it looks just like New England in the pictures, only better. Upstate New York is such a nice place to be. You just get the feeling that your some where special, somewhere that all of the Ameircan values are the norm.
There is no question that I love being here. I know the place, I know the people. Although on a day like today, having a canoe, and being able to paddle around the like, like thouse candian geese do, would be nice.
The roar of the wind, the quack of the geese, can only ean one thing—the world is changing. Winter is on it's way, so is cross-country sking and snowmobiling. Better get out an enjoy it while you still can.
Brilliant red, snappy yellow, green and a blue pond, reflecting the color off the blue sky. The ducks love it, shouldn't you too be loving it?
In the city, you here honk! honk! all the time. But it's more the cry of lonelyness, or more likely, people who don't give a damn, an are in a rush. Not unlike the chipmunks getting ready for winter.
Not a cloud in the sky, you can look forever and see blue. I don't want to every leave this place, but darkness, coldness and hunger will make me go back. But I will return, as those same demands will come back to haunt me again.
Yes, nature can be cruel, but life is far worst. But who really cares, on a day like today, alone, with only you and nature to look out and see.
