Under the darkness of night, some reflections on the world around us.
June 29, 2004
An Evening Down By the River: Enjoying the beautiful evening by the river.
Autumn Leaves: Free-write about autumn and all the color around.
Changing Seasons of Fall: Free writing on what the fall means and the change it brings...
Fall 2005: That Wasn't: We lost out in the beautiful colors this year.
Fall Day at Partridge Run: While getting colder up there, P Run still inspires.
First Snow: Reflecting on that first little snow storm.
Next Ice Age: Winter can sometimes feel like we are in an ice age.
October is Here: It's time to enjoy the beautiful fall weather.
Sky is Blue: Looking up at the endless summer sky.
Another summer's night
looking around
seeing fire flies in the sky.
Bugs a biting my legs,
as I sit here in darkness.
It is not totally dark
as there is a reddish glow
from the likes of GE and the city.
Shinning so bright, offering some hope
In a night so dark and bug ridden.
There is almost a mystic sparkel
to the night world around me.
Where the lightening flashes
in the distance and my mind starts to wander.
It is not a quiet country night
with spring peepers in the distance
and mesquitos buzzing in my ear
and the whine of cars riding
deeper into the country.
So here I am
all alone
in darkness just trying
to explain it all
with little luck except
for being eaten alive.
