It's Time to Honor America

The year was 1969, and this had become a popular bumper sticker (along with 'Spiro Agnewis Hero'). It was the rebellion of the silent majority.

We should look far from the Whitehouse and the 50 Statehouses to find out why America is so great.

Cruising down the highway, at 55 MPH, looking at the endless highway watching the blue mountains in the distance. Watching thousands of people pass you by on the highway—each with their personal agendas, plans and problems.

As you go pass the miles of blacktop, cross the brilliant red steel bridges, through an intersection so technology complex, it would only be possible with the collective work of a great society.

One that works for the people. One that protects it, should a rainy day come. One that thinks collectively to build a great society, but also allows individuals the right to self determination.

One in which it's parks extended for countless miles, areas where people can share.Green valleys extend up to the big blue mountains in the distance.

It's a place of many dreams and hopes—which someday may even become realities. Where dreams can become the future.

I know it's easy to criticize the many things the leadership of our country does wrong,but it's also too easy to miss all the good things it does too.
