Why the Democratic Stimulus Package Works: The proposed tax cuts by Republicans fail to provide adquate stimulus for sectors of the economy that need it the most.

Poem: It's 2006

It's 2006.
Not 1956 or 1966.
Nearly 30 years beyond the date,
President Johnson promised an end to poverty.

Why do people not know this?
A date like 2006 seems obvious.
Yet, a date should be more then just a date on a calender.

2006 was to be the future.
It was supposed to be a time of justice
and not a time of injustice and all the sorrow we feel today.

A time when man was better, not worst.
Yet, somehow the future never happened. The days
just rolled on and consecutively with the future never becoming
the reality.

Instead,
we are stuck in a troubled world.
That was supposed to be a long time gone.
