In Defense of Government: The Fall and Rise of Public Trust

In Defense of Government: The Fall and Rise of Public Trust proved by an interesting book to read. Jacob Weisberg in 200 pages documents the rise of the conservative/libertarian anti-government book, the failures of the Democrats, the future of politics, and his ideas to ensure a better government.

It's pretty impressive how to the point, and how consise the book really was. It made for a fast, enjoyable read, that anybody could read, and understand modern day politics. For me, a lot of the book's content was review, but it still was interesting.

I have to admit, I didn't neccessarly agree with all his criticisms of the Democratic Party or the final chapter with his suggestions to imporve America, I still think it was a good book (eventhough I disagreed with his more moderate stances).

In short, it was a quick refresher on how we got to modern day politics, interesting perspectives on the future of government, and more. Not the greatest book ever written, but if you looking for a short book—it's one to read.
