I had a few hours one evening, before meeting my parents at camp at Thompsons Lake. Biked up and down Beaver Road a couple of miles in the flat in both directions, and went a ways up Bush Drive.
Nice drive around this area, trying to find the silly WMF. A grand total of 256 acres (it's tiny), it's a lot of really nice little medows and woods to explore. Not chewed up by ATVs like some other places (everything has their place).
Hiked down main trail from the kiosk, through some woods into a meadow. Disturbed a few Partridges. Um. Wrong place, for them, I guess. Drove down road aways farther, and then explored lower place a bit more. Did not want to go too deeply into forest, as I did not have a compas on me.
