Boomhower Road & Route 401. Went on two bike rides, one before dinner, and one after.
Rode my bike out along Boomhower Road. Nice day, but sticky and grey. Passed some kids and a dog. Drank lots of water, as the first part was a lot of uphill. Passed two FedEx trucks on Boomhower road—quite a surpise. A lot of traffic on Route 32, which made that section less fun. Took Silver Creek Road back. Passed a fox at the bottom the hill—neat.
Eventhough a thunderstorm was coming, I decided to go out for a quick bike ride in the evening. Rode across the Basic Resivour, took a left on to Route 401, road along old 401, down into the valley, and turned around before the hill into South Westerlo. On the way back, started to rain when crossing the Basic Resivour. Raced down hill back to home, in pouring rain. Few cracks of thunder around, but nothing close. P'Link
Reidsville Bike Ride. Warm day. Dog chased bike on Flood Road (first time on this road). Passed a farmer cutting hay along Flood Road. Noticed a another house along Udell Road. Decided to ride all the way back home, and have dad take me back later to top of Hilson road to pickup car later.

Pine Bush, East Berne, South Westerlo. Really hot and humid day out. After job interview today, decided to go to Pine Bush for some hiking. Took the following trails:
Noticed some pretty white butterflies. Very hazy out today, barely could see the Heldebergs (and they were only about 15 miles away !!) Everything was still wet this morning.
Later, went to the back of Thatcher Park. Hiked walking trail for about a mile. Then hopped on bike for a hot bike ride to East Berne, exploring some of the back roads around.
Route: Beaver Dam Road - SR 157 - Sawmill Road - Long Road - SR 443 (Turn Around) - Long Road - Bush Drive - Beaver Dam Road
Looked at cows along field (moo!), and passed several people doing roofing work (what a lousy day for that job). I enjoy exploring these rural backroads by bike, as they give a different perspective then car, and let me see roads I normally wouldn't drive in. The ride back up out of East Berne was really hot, and I took frequent breaks, but at the end of the day, what is important is that I made it back. Got a few pictures, but nothing too good. Distance: 10mi.
Finally, after dinner went for a 13mi bike ride. Looked about the same as usual, but it was still rather sticky out, and hot. Came back on State Route 32 for a change of pace—which was good, as it was mostly downhill, versus the up and down on Route 401 / Beaver Dam Road.

Bike Ride to South Westerlo. Beautiful night, reasonable tempeture, but stil drank lots of water. Brought plenty of that to drink, and had a lot of it. Along Route 401there was a beautiuful sunset. Passed a couple of cows grazing along the road—some Holstiens and some Herefords. It's hard to describe the beauty of what I saw, and I only just wish I had a camera.
